Description
The Katool KT-2002 is a bench-style tire changer for garages, farms, and mobile service work that only mount and demount tires occasionally — the jobs where a full powered machine is more equipment than the work justifies. It handles tires from 12" to 22" on wheels up to 39" overall diameter, covering everything from trailer and ATV wheels to most passenger car and light-truck sizes.
The frame is Q235 and Q245 steel at 132 lbs — heavy enough to stay planted while you work a stubborn bead, light enough to move where the job is. The duck-head mount/demount design uses an angle and material chosen so the tire is not damaged during changes, and the threaded spindle with a quick-release locking collar holds the wheel firmly on the turntable while you work the bar.

FAQ
Can the mount bar kick back during use?
Yes — on any manual tire changer, the mount/demount bar holds spring tension while the bead releases, and it can kick hard if you are positioned over it. Keep both hands on the bar, stand to the side of its travel — never over it — and let the tension release gradually as the bead breaks free.
