More about Wheel Alignment Equipment & Machines
Wheel alignment equipment measures camber, caster, toe, and thrust angle so a vehicle tracks straight and wears its tires evenly. The machines in this collection come from our brand partners Katool and Olympic Equipment.
Choosing your first aligner? Read how to choose a wheel alignment machine and wheel alignment machine cost: the five line items shops forget.
Imaging types. 3D imaging systems read reflective targets clamped to each wheel through fixed or mobile cameras. Touchless systems read the wheel surface directly, removing the clamp-and-compensate step. Both report the same core angles — the difference is setup time and how much operator technique affects repeatability.
Bay and lift requirements. This is the constraint most shops underestimate. Some units are built to work over a 2-post or scissor lift; others expect a dedicated alignment rack with turnplates and slip plates. Before ordering, confirm the lift you will run it on, the runway length and width your vehicles need, and the ceiling height and camera sightlines the system requires. Check the vendor's published installation requirements for the specific model. See our alignment lifts.
Shop vs. home garage. A high-volume shop usually wants faster setup, a printer for customer-facing reports, and a cabinet that survives daily use. A serious home garage aligning a handful of vehicles a year can often work with a simpler system, provided the lift and floor are level enough to hold a reading.
What to check before buying. Rim diameter and track-width range against the vehicles you service. Included hardware — clamps, targets, turnplates, and whether a rack is part of the package. What the vendor publishes about software updates and vehicle-database coverage. The calibration procedure and how often it is required. Power and air requirements at the bay.
Choosing a lift. Many alignment systems are set up over a 2-post or scissor lift, so the lift decision and the alignment decision go together. Read our car lift buying guide before you commit to either. For the lift itself, see car lifts, and for balancing wheels, see wheel balancers.
Alignment machines for sale. Shopping for an alignment machine for sale for your shop? Compare the Katool KT-5DA 3D wheel alignment machine, the Katool KT-AV9 and KT-AV6, which are listed to work on 2 post and scissor lifts, the KT-AV533, and the Olympic AS800 touchless aligner. If you are planning a dedicated alignment bay, our alignment lift buying guide explains how to match the rack to the aligner.
Shipping is calculated at checkout; transit is typically 7–15 business days as an estimate.
