More about Wheel Balancing & Truing
Shop wheel balancers and tire balancing machines for auto repair shops, tire shops and home garages: computerized passenger-car balancers, laser-positioning models, heavy-duty truck balancers with lift assist, and tire truing equipment. Compare Katool, Mayflower, Fortisky, Olympic Equipment and Tire Service International machines by rim range, wheel weight capacity and balancing modes. Not sure whether you need static or dynamic balancing? Read our static vs. dynamic wheel balancing guide.
A wheel balancer spins a mounted wheel to find where weight is unevenly distributed, then tells the technician where to add counterweights. Unbalanced assemblies show up as steering-wheel or seat vibration at speed and as cupped, uneven tire wear. These machines come from Katool, Mayflower, Fortisky, Olympic Equipment, and Tire Service International — brands we carry.
New to balancers? Read our guide to choosing a wheel balancer.
Manual vs. computerized. Manual and bubble balancers indicate imbalance without powered measurement and suit low-volume work. Computerized balancers spin the assembly under power and display weight placement on screen; some add laser or camera positioning to speed up where the weight actually goes.
Passenger vs. heavy-duty. Passenger and light-truck balancers cover common car and pickup rim sizes. Heavy-duty and truck balancers handle larger, heavier assemblies and usually include a lift assist, because a loaded truck wheel is more than one technician should be lifting onto a shaft.
What to check before buying. Rim diameter and width range, and maximum wheel weight, against what you actually service. Shaft type and whether the cones and adapters you need are included. Whether motorcycle or custom-wheel adaptors are available separately. Floor space and whether the unit needs bolting down. Power and air supply at the bay. Calibration procedure and frequency.
Pairing with a tire changer. Most shops buy both at once — see our tire changer and wheel balancer combos, which pair matched machines, or browse tire changers on their own. For heavy trucks, see heavy-duty truck tire changers, and for the full bay, wheel service equipment.
Shipping is calculated at checkout; transit is typically 7–15 business days as an estimate.
Models include the Fortisky FWB-95B, the Katool KT-B750 and, for truck wheels, the Olympic W690. Balancers are also sold with a tire changer in our combos.
This category includes equipment from Tire Service International. See every Tire Service International product.
